"A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones." Proverbs 17:22

The first couple of months have brought on some hard battles with health issues as we are adjusting to the foods, water and new microbes surrounding us.  At times, it has been difficult with days of fevers, upset stomachs, etc.  But where there is prayer - HE comes in like a flood and provides healing, comfort and encouragement.

In the midst of it all, we are so thankful for the gift of laughter and great senses of humor our children have been blessed with.  Thank you Lord for the gift of joy in the midst of sometimes hard times and new/difficult situations.  He can always help us gain the right perspective on what momentarily seems to be a "bummer" of a situation.

UPDATE:  As of the writing of this we have all had a full week of no health issues.  Praise the Lord !!!  Thank you to all the prayer warriors out there, the mom's who offered great advice and the Lord who is faithful to give us wisdom when we ask (James 1:5).  We have isolated our water to only bottled/filtered and have begun to purchase lunch meats that are packaged (not sitting in a store waiting for someone to purchase portions of them) and by shopping at a large in-door supermarket we found on the outside of the city.  Also eating Activia and other cultured milk products to help fight bacteria is good, really good.
