FAMILY CAMP @ Lunca Bradului

We had an amazing time.  Not only did we return home blessed and tired, but we were privileged to help with ministering and teaching the people in the camp.  There were 12 new professions of faith in Jesus Christ, a blessed time with small groups in devotions each morning, team competitions, JeJe taught the last Friday morning, and both JeJe & Coleen were blessed to speak with the teens about God's design for "relationships and purity" (praise God, the truth was taught and they still like us!).   The site was amazing, lots of activities (let's just say we only saw James at bedtime and he sat with us for one meal ;o) and near the Mures River; an incredibly beautiful part of the country.

She did a great job finishing the obstacle
course in the trees, then ziplined across
the river.
Our "brave" Elli up on a wire...

James' turn on the
obstacle course in the trees.
Of course he was the fastest to
get through it and finish...

JeJe & Coleen were blessed
to be teamed up with the "teens"
Of Course our Team  Had a "
"Game Plan" for every task.
We set the record by getting all
23 team members over the wall in
2 1/2 minutes
(only two were allowed to pull from the top)

Yes, he scaled this wall
as fast as Spiderman...

Love when the parents play too ;o)

Don't tell this big guy how old he is !
Team Work and balance vs. force

She was the first member of our team
to figure out how to get across the line,
using just the hanging rope
(the rest of the team had to complete the task).

Smart Girl !!!

Always Ready to "Play Ball"

An ëven bigger zipline running from the mountain
across to the camp ground;
James just happened to be wearing his
Superman T-shirt and "struck a pose" for everyone
(always the entertainer)

Brave, brave girl...by the end of the week,
she would sail across upside down (yikes!)

Great Times of Worship

Blessed time w/ our small group

No one went hungry in this dining hall...
they fed us 3 amazing meals a day
(yep, Romanian food)

HOME MADE BASES

Love how the Lord works through the players.  They "engineered" and made home made bases for us (note the old:  empty water and soda bottles).  One of the father's is also working on "posts" for us to anchor them into the ground :o)

NEW BASES !!!

OLD BASES :o)

PRAISES & PRAYER REQUEST 8/05/2013

PRAISES
* An amazing/blessed time at the Family Camp.
* The work He is doing in JeJe's family.
* His faithfulness towards the church/work here.
* The doors He is opening for Baseball Cluj and those who are being reached for Jesus through it.
* The spiritual growth we are seeing in our children's lives; especially as we have weekly family devotions/AGAPE time.
* The opportunity to go to the Missions Conference in Austria this month.

PRAYER REQUESTS
* Grace and mercy for JeJe's aunt Geta in her last days; that she would be overwhelmed by His presence and His love for her.
*Please pray for individuals who have come to Christ, for the roots to grow deep and fruit to come forth.
* Salvation for JeJe's unsaved family members.
* For continued wisdom in building the church here.
* To be lead by the Holy Spirit in event planning/the CC Romania Conference in October.
* Please pray for wisdom for JeJe in directing Baseball Cluj and for blessings on the wonderful volunteers/parents who are getting involved.  Also for favor with the Mayor with regards to gaining a dedicated training field.
* A hedge of protection from the Lord around our family; we know the enemy does not like what we are doing and is always looking for ways to "sneak" in and destroy.  Want to keep our guards "up".

VISITING THE "GREEK" SIDE OF THE FAMILY

It is always a lot of laughs and good memories in visiting JeJe's family in Petrila.
In July, we spent several days with a kind of family reunion; JeJe's aunt Geta was grateful for the time we all spent together - we were too.
We call them the "Greek" side, after seeing MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING; we completely relate to having to completely different cultures collide.  YES, they are fun and loud and all those wonderful things; and they would do just about anything for another family member in need.
