A VISIT FROM A FRIEND AND THUNDER, LIGHTNING, RAIN AND HAIL….OH ! MY !

Our first week consisted of a week full of temperatures ranging from 86 to 106F with humidity going from 55-70% (ugh!).

The beginning of our second week, the weather began to cool down a bit and we enjoyed a visit from Shelby Felton (Jan’s daughter).  She is here on behalf of a non-profit with her church in Texas that is helping reach the poor in a village outside the city of Lugoj.  She returns to the states in the next week, and we pray God will bring her back to Cluj (according to His plans and purposes for Shelby).

Shelby blessed us with helping us drive around to get a few things done with her VW Golf Station Wagon that she has been renting from a man in the fellowship she is serving in.

One day she decided to help us get to the villages to help us find Ranger and then we were headed to park in the center of the city to do some sight seeing.  Thankfully, God sent a crazy storm while we were in the village and it delayed us from getting downtown any earlier because the village was a good 20-25 minute drive outside the city.  Had we gotten downtown and parked, Shelby’s rental car would have become her “owned” vehicle and as she said “I think I would have owned a convertible”.  Here are photos of some of the storm damage and our village visits.
