WOMEN'S BREAKFAST - CELEBRATING SPRING & WOMEN

March 1st is called "martisor" (martz-ee-shor) here in Romania and we celebrate the coming of Spring and women are given little token gifts (flowers, trinkets with a symbol of Spring (a ladybug, flower, etc.), and then on March 8th is the Women's Day.  The tradition for this is to give flowers, gifts (chocolates, perfume, etc.) to the ladies and even the men will go door to door and ring the door bells of ladies they know, so that they can spray them with various perfumes (not my favorite item; too many fragrances give me a headache).
But it is the thoughtfulness and the tradition that make these days special.
This was the 2nd time we opened our home for Women's Breakfast and we had about 28 ladies come.  We enjoyed good food (cinnamon rolls and egg souffle were big hits), fellowship and a devotional time talking about "seasons" of change that life brings, and how we can build our faith in Jesus to be strong for when storms come.

We thank the Lord for this special time and ask that you keep the ladies in prayer; may the women of Romania grow in their faith, and be strong in it for the raising of our children, in our community and churches and for the Glory of the Lord.
